The Project Space at Assembly House is at the centre of our public programme, hosting exhibitions, talks, residencies and other events. For more details of what's coming up in the space visit our Programme page.
If you are interested in using the project space yourself we do offer a Venue Hire service, in addition to being open to proposals to take part in our Public Programme. We aim to give a quick response to Hire requests and are able to give you charging options specific to your duration and type of use upon request. Please include an outline of your event along with supporting images.
For proposals to our programme we are always looking for interesting ideas that challenge us and expand the breadth of our output. Our core curatorial principle is to challenge monocultures by encouraging a diversity of practices and by building dialogues between communities locally, nationally and internationally. Proposals that interest us include those that are ambitious in their use of the space, are keen to engage with our team, represent artistic disciplines we are yet to engage with, raise challenges and display a confident use of their medium. If you do submit a proposal please be aware this may take us some time to get back to you as our team will need to discuss it.
The project space is approximately 8x8 Meters and is supported by a spacious and hospitable social area.
